Is There Still a Point in Buying a PS?
Basically I know the the last consoles lasted for about five or so years, so is there much point dipping into the Sony market? I already own a Wii which satisfies my needs for music games, but I may consider shifting on to PS if I bought one, depending on prices and my sister owns a which I occasionally play on but she doesnt have games that I am really interested in I just bought her the new Tekken which I absolutely loathe because I am pathetic at it, especially when blindly mashing buttons.

The new PS Slim which has come out a few months ago should be your best bet. Its much better than the xbox. It has a bluray player inbuilt, so you can be pretty sure that it will last you at least years. Sony has also announced that it would incorporate new D technology into existing PS systems as a firmware update, as and when the technology is incorporated into home setups.brbrThe PS allows you to play your blurays as well, thus removing the need to buy another bluray player. Plus, if you have a wiredwireless network set up in your home, you can also stream content from your computer to your PS through PS Media Server. brbrAll in all, I would say, the PS Slim is a great package for the price, especially since Sony dropped prices with the launch of the Slim. Go for the Slim.
